Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 4, 2010, in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA. 31907 with Reverend Billy Duncan officiating. Interment to follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Jones was born in Louisville, Al. on October 21, 1917 to the late Reason Kelly and Vera Long Kelly. She has lived in Columbus for most of her life and was an active member of Beallwood Baptist Church. She was retired from Bibb Mills with 25 years of service. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband J.T. Jones and a daughter, Jeanice Smoot.
Survivors include her three children, Roy Tyler, Kelly Tyler and wife Tina, and Jerry Parker and husband C.W. all of Columbus 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Condolences
