Lavonda "Bonnie" Joy Jernigan

Lavonda Joy “Bonnie” Jernigan, 76, of Phenix City, AL passed Friday, April 23, 2021 at East Alabama Medical Center. A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Striffler-Hamby 4071 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA 31907. Visitation will be held for friends on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 6:00-8:00pm.

Mrs. Jernigan was born July 22, 1944 in Columbus, GA, the daughter of the late Ernest and Marjorie Jernigan. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Jerry and Raymond Jernigan; one son Roy Alton. Survivors include her four children, Cindy, Dina, Johnny and Christopher; four grandchildren, Chip, Candy, Lil Chris and Nicole; five great grandchildren, Brandi, Mckinnon, Layla, Zowi and Ethan.
