

Lawrence Flournoy Mosley, 67, of Columbus, Georgia passed away Monday, May 25, 2015. The family would like to invite friends to celebrate Larry’s life at a visitation on Thursday, May 25, 2015 from 5:00 PM- 7:00 PM in the St. Elmo Room of Striffler-Hamby. A Funeral Service is scheduled for Friday, May 29, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby with Reverend Scott Hagan officiating. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery.
Larry, the son of the late James Lawrence Mosley and late Anne Mitcham Armour Mosley, was born July 3, 1947 in Columbus, Georgia. He attended Clubview Elementary and Columbus High School, where he excelled in basketball, and later graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Business Administration. Larry was a National Sales Manager for Tom’s Foods and later retired from Lance. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid Auburn fan. Larry was a long time member of the Country Club of Columbus, where he enjoyed playing golf with his friends. He was a member of Wynnton United Methodist Church.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 40 years, Sandra Diane Satterfield Mosley, and a son, Matthew Lawrence Mosley. Larry is survived by his daughter, Meridith Hemmings (Lance) of Columbus; grandsons Hunter Mosley Hemmings and Tanner Flournoy Hemmings of Columbus; a sister, Lynn Mosley Raymond (William) of Cataula; nephews William Hoyt Raymond IV, Mark Arnold Pearce and William Kevin Pearce; nieces, Anne Raymond Peebles (John) and Emily Pearce Wackerlin; great nephew, Raymond Tucker Peebles; great niece, Laurel Lynn Peebles; sister-in-law, Deborah Pearce Cooper, other relatives and friends.
