

Lewis Thomas Folds, 78, of Hamilton, GA passed away July 20, 2015 surrounded by his loving family, under the watchful care of Columbus Hospice. The family will receive guests July 25, 2015 at 10:00 AM, one hour prior to the Memorial Service scheduled for Saturday, July 25, 2015, 11:00 AM in The Mill Room at Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon RD. Columbus, GA, followed by a Committal Service at Parkhill Cemetery, with Reverend Gene Boyd officiating.
Lewis was born April 27, 1937 in Columbus, GA to his late parents, Louie and Mary Snell Folds. He was a Navy veteran who loved hunting and Drag Racing. His family was his passion; he was the caregiver for his late wife of 50 years, his late daughter for 31 years, and loved his family. Lewis was a mechanic by trade and had retired from Firestone and Goodyear.
Along with his parents, Lewis is preceded in death by his beloved wife Martha Brown Folds; A daughter, Mary “KK” Folds; his brother, Butch Folds; brother in-laws, Charlie and Gerald Brown; and two nephews, Charles and Greg Posey. He is survived by his daughter Vicki Strickland (Sam) Roring of Hamilton, GA; granddaughter, Candace (Roy Butler) Bailey of Columbus, GA; two great grandchildren, Colten and Camden Butler; sister in-laws, Remona (Alan) Coulter, Charlotte Brown, and Myrt Brown; nephew Lee (Edna) Coulter; great nieces, Ann, Eve, and Shanna; great nephew, Jason; Charity Broadwell and family,the Jones family, and numerous other family members; special friends, Janis and Rex Moore, and Debbie and Clifford Hall.
