Ms. Floyd was born October 15, 1930 to the late Cecil Bennett Estes, Sr. and Mattie Lou Wallis Estes. Lois had a strong Christian faith and a genuine love of family. She enjoyed holding family reunions at her Po Biddy Road home in Talbot County and telling stories of the old days. She could be found shooting rattlesnakes (if needed) and watching John Wayne movies. Lois was proud of her community of Talbotton and was Vice President of Peoples Bank of Talbotton, working there many years before her retirement in 1998.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Roy McClendon (Mac) Floyd. Survivors include three children, Carol F. Ingram (Danny), Lynda F. Kannady (David) and Ashley M. Floyd (Dorie), one granddaughter, two great grandchildren, a sister in law, Allene F. Semons, many beloved nieces and nephews, as well as other family members and friends.
