
Funeral services for Ms. Jackson will be 10:00 am, Saturday, August 18, 2012, in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary 4071 Macon Road Columbus with Reverends Watson McKemie and Rob Kaple officiating. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery.
Visitation for Ms. Jackson will be from 5-7 pm, Friday, August 17, 2012 at the funeral home.
Madge Evelyn Jackson was born July 23, 1940 in Coffee County, Alabama to the late Shelby C. Jackson and Emma Scarborough Jackson. She was a member of Evangel Temple Assembly of God. Ms. Jackson was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Madge Jackson’s greatest desire was for her four girls to stay close in heart and honor God and family. That is her legacy she leaves to us all who love and remember her.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories four daughters and their husbands; Deborah Y. (Derrick)Chapman, Donna Y. (Russell) Ward, Dianne Y. (Ron) Henderson, and Dina Y. (Mark) Miller, seven grandchildren; Justin Kennedy, Jennifer Miller Wester, Kirby Kennedy Kaple, Devon Chapman Burnett, Jacon Henderson, David Chapman, and Brian Chapman, six great-grandchildren; Jackson Beau Kennedy, Krista Burnett, Michael Miller, Willow Kennedy, Emily Burnett, and Rylan Wester.
The family would like to thank the Pastoral staff at Evangel Temple for their comfort and prayers, also the staff of Phenix Health Care for their loving care and compassionate support of Ms. Jackson.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Columbus Hospice 7020 Moon Road Columbus, GA. 31909 in memory of Madge Evelyn Jackson.
