Margaret, known lovingly to all as Peggy, was born on April 1, 1944, in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, to her wonderful parents, Daniel Brayford Brimmer and Jean Kathryn Brimmer. She was raised with a strong foundation of faith, love, and family—values that shaped her life and were evident in the way she cared for others. Peggy grew up surrounded by family and from her earliest years possessed a warmth and radiance that would come to define her entire life.
Peggy shared a beautiful and devoted marriage with her loving husband, William “Bill” Paul Frey. Though he preceded her in passing on January 4, 2022—just prior to their 60th wedding anniversary—their life together reflected a deep and abiding love grounded in faith and commitment.
Peggy never met a stranger. Anyone who crossed her path was immediately drawn to her beautiful smile and infectious laugh. She had an extraordinary ability to brighten up a room simply by being there. She lived out her faith through kindness, humility, and unconditional love for her friends and family.
The words of Psalm 23 reflect the assurance she carried: “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want… Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
She is survived by her son, Scott Frey, and his wife Kristin, along with their daughters Kelly and Morgan; and her great-grandson Connor; and her adoring daughter Stacy Ford, her husband Steven, and their son Sawyer.
She is also survived by her siblings: her younger brothers Daniel Brimmer, JR and wife Linda; Keith Brimmer and wife Michelle; and her loving sister Jeannie Black and husband David, along with their extended families. Peggy found immense joy in her family and cherished every moment spent with them.
Peggy will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering devotion to her family, her beautiful presence and her deep and abiding faith. Her legacy is one of love, grace, and a life well lived in service to others and to God.
