Maria Beatty, age 77, resident of Columbus, died on Monday, November 30, 2015 at Midtown Medical Center. Funeral services are scheduled at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church on Friday, December 4, 2015, 2 p.m. with Father Joseph Kim officiating. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Striffler-Hamby, Columbus on Thursday, December 3, 2015 from 6-8 p.m.
Mrs. Beatty, daughter of the late Naegum Ryu and Ilsaeng Park, was born November 21, 1938 in Seoul, Korea. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, member of the Korean Catholic Association, and was a retired beautician where she worked faithfully at Cuts, Etc. of Columbus.
Mrs. Beatty is survived by her husband, John F. Beatty, Sr. of Columbus; one daughter, Suk Beatty of Ellerslie, Georgia; two granddaughters, Kilee Brickner of Columbus and Gabriel Brickner of Ellerslie, Georgia; one great-granddaughter, Genevieve Melendez; four sisters; other relatives and friends.
