

Arrangements under the direction of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA.Mary Faith Clark Glass, 90 of Columbus, GA passed away Monday, November 21, 2016 at Spring Harbor under the watchful care of Columbus Hospice. The family will welcome guests for visitation Saturday, November 26, 2016 from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am Funeral Services in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, followed by a Committal Service at Parkhill Cemetery with The Reverend Dick Reese officiating.
Mrs. Glass was born November 16, 1926 in Columbus to her late parents A. F. and Lilian Tucker Clark. She worked for Southern Bell Telephone Company before becoming a mother. She was a member of The Founders Club at Spring Harbor where her late husband was the first to move from Independent Living to Health Care at the facility. Mrs. Glass brightened everyone’s day by decorating the Skilled Nursing dining area at Spring Harbor with floral arrangements that she designed for special occasions and was instrumental in getting the porte cochére cover installed in which she played a role in its dedication. She was an active member of St. Marks United Methodist Church and attended when she was able. Mrs. Glass loved her family and they loved her dearly.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Grady R. Glass of Columbus, GA; son Mark Glass of Smiths, AL; sister Ann Crews of Columbus, GA. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons David Glass and his wife Joan Glass of Redmond, WA , and Keith Glass and his fiancé Linda Tyler of Hampton, GA; brother Bobby Clark and his wife Callie Clark of Columbus, GA; nieces, nephews, other family members and many, many friends.
