Mary Kate McBride Robinson

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday July 22, 2011 in the chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA 31907 with Dr. Kevin Calhoun officiating. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will greet family and friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Robinson was born August 19, 1919 in Talbot County, GA, daughter of the late John Travis and Maebell Culverhouse McBride. She was a member of Hilton Terrace Baptist Church for over 50 years and was active in her Sunday school class. The Lord was always at the center of her life. Her constant faith enabled her to leave a legacy of Christian belief to her family. Mrs. Robinson will also be remembered for her great sense of humor and her love for being a great “Mimmy” to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, M.L. Robinson.

Survivors include her daughter, Kaye Robinson Burgess of Columbus, GA; two grandchildren, Teddy “Thad” McDaniel Burgess, Jr. of Dublin, GA, and Kristy Burgess Moran and her husband, John T. Moran of Columbus, GA; two great grandchildren, Eleanor “Ellie” and Patrick Moran; special family member, Jeff Burgess.
