Janie was born in Coffee County, AL on March 18, 1936 to the late Hardy Leatherwood and Mable Bludsworth Leatherwood. In her younger years Janie loved to spend time fishing and hunting with her family. Janie was an avid poker player and playing any chance she got especially at family get togethers. She enjoyed gardening and the outdoors and her fur babies, Jack & Peanut. Janie was a very giving and generous lady who truly loved her family and extended family.
Janie was preceded in death by her husband, Joel Arthur Wiggins, siblings, Wayne Leatherwood, Weed Leatherwood, Wilbur Leatherwood Winnie Ward, and Starlia Chesser.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Dykes (Jimmy) of Waverly Hall, GA., grandchildren, Kelsey Moquete (Ronny) and Vanessia Rodriguez (Luis), great grandson, Darriel "Junior" Sanders and great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Moquete, sisters, Carolyn "Sugie" Edwards (Harold) and Ruby "Sissy" Chesser (Clayton) several nieces and nephews
