Michael Crawford

He graduated from Columbus High School in 1957. Mike was a Chi Phi at the University of Georgia, where he lettered in track. During high school, Mike earned his pilot's license, and later proved his skills by making an emergency landing in a cow pasture.

He married Barrie Feighner in 1963 and they had two children: Philip Crawford (Morgan) of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Margaret Crawford Kelsey of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He had four grandchildren: Charlie and Katie Kelsey and Michael and Hadley Crawford, who all called him "Papa".

Mike married Reta McKenzie Flournoy in 2001 and cared for her through her battle with ALS.

Mike worked in transportation, manufacturing, and real estate for various local companies. He enjoyed hunting, boating, motorcycling, photography, cooking, and spending time with his close-knit circle of friends.

Mike is survived by his children, grandchildren, and also his siblings: Alfred Sawyer (Memory), Thurston Crawford (Diana), Glen Crawford (Ann), Hagood Clarke (Gigi), Ann Clarke, Virginia Clarke Greene (Tom), and Middleton Clarke.
