Michael Ray Jones

Michael was born in Dothan, Alabama on May 12, 1959, son of Eunice Hale Jones and Freeman Ray Jones. He was a diehard Alabama fan “Roll Tide”. Michael also enjoyed hunting and fishing when he had time. He enjoyed spending time with his 3yr old granddaughter, Tinsley-she was his world.

He is preceded in death by his father, Freeman Ray Jones, his daughter, Jayda Marie Jones and niece, Caryn Blair Vang. He is survived by his mother, Eunice Hale Powell of Columbus, GA; son, Jarred (Allie) Jones of Eufaula, AL; sister, Susan Jones (Bill) Vang of Columbus, GA; granddaughter, Tinsley Jones of Eufaula, AL; nephew, Christian Vang of Atlanta, GA; and numerous other relative and friends and his faithful canine companion “Tide”.

A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 11:00 AM EST in the Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA 31907. Family will visit with friends before the service beginning at 10:00 AM EST. Michael will be laid to rest beside his daughter, Jayda in Fairview Cemetery, 723, N. Randolph Ave. Eufaula, AL 36027 at 2:00 PM EST.
