Myrtice Bodie

Myrtice Bodie was a woman of strong faith who believed in Jesus and had experienced the goodness of God all her life.

She was one of ten children, perhaps is one of the reasons she loved belonging to groups of friends. She looked forward to Tuesdays where she would join several of her friends at Jason's Deli for lunch. These ladies would gather for prayer laughs and a great time of fellowship, they call themselves "The Lunch Bunch".

Myrtice was a gift giver and took such joy in giving. Her most favorite time of giving was Christmas when she would dress in a beautiful homemade Mrs. Claus dress she had designed herself and transform into full character. She would then speak and question who had been naughty or nice and this was not just for the children it included the adults as well.

Myrtice’s kindness and generosity has been experienced by many of her friends and strangers alike she will be dearly missed by so many.

Myrtice will be laid to rest on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Rd. Columbus, Georgia, 31907.
