A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Striffler Hamby Mortuary with Reverend J. Grantham officiating. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery.
Pam was born on July 29, 1952 in Burlington, Vermont to the late Allen Yantz and Audrey Johnson. She grew up in Vergennes, Vermont where she later met and married Kevin Gowen in 1982.
After many years working in the electronics and retail fields, Pam retired to raise her daughters and enjoy her cherished home. She loved to decorate for holidays and had a passion for making Christmas special for her family and for all who passed her home. Pam loved animals, was never without a pet in the house, and enjoyed the wildlife that came to her yard to feed each day. She enjoyed playing video games and loved being thought of as the “fun aunt” and “fun neighbor” for playing games with the children. She enjoyed needlework, was an avid reader, and loved to travel with her beloved husband, Kevin. Her smile, her sense of humor, and her generous spirit were treasured by many and serve as her legacy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen Yantz and Audrey Johnson; her brothers Steven Yantz and David Yantz; and sister Cindy Bronson.
Pam is survived by her husband Kevin Gowen of Midland, Georgia; daughters Dawn Johnson (Jason) of Butte, Montana and Lori Frank of Hinesville, Georgia; her grandchildren, Amber Nathan (Philip), Bryan Johnson (Courtney), and Brody Johnson; her great-grandchildren Aubie and Tybee; brothers Randy Yantz of Flowery Branch, Georgia, and Mark Yantz of Montpelier, Vermont.
