Patricia "Patsy" Anne Christian

Arrangements under the direction of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA.Patsy Christian, died September 26, 2016 in Columbus, GA. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road Chapel, with Reverend Thad Smith officiating. Private interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, September 29th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Mrs. Christian was born in Columbus, Georgia on February 10, 1930 and lived most of her life here. She was the daughter of Claude J. Harden and Lois Chauncey Harden.

Mrs. Christian was a member of Morningside Baptist Church and served many years as a Sunday School teacher, as well as various other positions throughout the years.

She retired from Pickett & Hatcher Educational Fund, Inc. She was a member of her classmates group, the “Golden Girls.”

Mrs. Christian was preceded in death by her husband, Carl David Christian, and by her son, Carl Scott Christian.

Survivors include her daughter, Sherri C. Symuleski and beloved son-in-law, Mike, as well as two granddaughters, Rebecca L. Olson and Anna Marie Myers (Levi), step-granddaughter, Shannon Norelle Nicholas (Charlie), and great-grandchildren, Natalie Olson, Jaden Vilches, Brendan Edwards, Riley Myers, Jocelyn Alaina Olson, Eoghan Myers, Corbin Nicholas and Samuel Nicholas.
