

Paul Venable, age 78, resident of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017 at his daughter’s residence. Funeral services are scheduled at the Mill Room of Striffler-Hamby, Columbus on Thursday, April 27, 2017, 11 a.m. with Minister David Spiece officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, April 27, 2017 from 10-11 a.m.
Mr. Venable, son of the late William Venable and Nellie Smith Venable, was born March 29, 1939 in Columbus. He was veteran of the military, serving his country honorably in the Army Reserves. Mr. Venable started a career with Tom’s Foods where he faithfully worked for over 35 years. He then began a career owning Brand Names Linen Outlet in both Columbus and Phenix City.
Mr. Venable was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Darnell Webb Venable; a sister, Betty Scott; and a brother, Joseph Venable.
He is survived by two daughters, Angela Jackson and her husband Chuck of Fortson, Georgia and Paula Graham and her husband Jamie of Phenix City, Alabama; one son, Will Venable and his wife Shannon of Woodstock, Georgia; one sister, Ruth Martin of Bainbridge, Georgia; two brothers, Bob Venable of Alpharetta, Georgia and John Venable and his wife Ann of Columbus; seven grandchildren, Ragan, Elizabeth, Madison, JJ, Haley, Karah, and Maryanna; three great-grandchildren, Rachel, Amelia, and Landon; other relatives and friends.
