Yank was born in Muskegon, Michigan on February 21, 1943; the son of Albert J. and Emma M. Clark. He joined the U.S. Army and met his wife Ferne Dyess, while stationed at Ft. Benning. They were married for 59 years. After his service, Yank was employed by Mead Coated Board, he retired after 35 years of service. To know Yank, is to know that he loved animals and cared about others. He was an avid fisherman and loved to fish wherever and whenever. He was a charter member of the Columbus Bass Trackers and president for many years. Fishing was only made better when he was with family, friends, or when he was helping others enjoy fishing too. Yank was heavily involved in promoting and executing fishing tournaments/outings for the disabled and the Wounded Warrior Project. He was extremely proud of what he and his friends were able to do thru the Wounded Warrior Lakeshore Foundation. What he truly loved was his family, being a husband, a father, and a grandfather meant the world to him.
He is preceded in death by: his parents.
