SFC (Retired) Richard G. Crow Sr., 74, of Columbus, GA passed away April 28, 2014. He was born in Bessemer, AL on February 22, 1940. Richard graduated from Miami Edison High School and received a Masters in Religious Education from Faith Theology Seminary. He was married to Brenda Crow on October 8, 1960. Richard had a career in the US Army for 21 years and was a Manager of AAA Storage for 20 years. He was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church and had a passion for his five precious children, sixteen precious grandchildren, twenty five precious great grandchildren, and golf. Richard was a hardworking man with a great sense of humor and a loving passion for his faith and family. He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Crow, his children, Rick Crow (Kristie), Renee Kohlbry (John), Dawn Dixon (Charlie), Jerry Crow (Charlotte), Laura Stutz (Mike (late)), his sixteen grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. The family would like to invite friends to a Visitation at Striffler Hamby Mortuary on Wednesday April 30 at 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday May 1 at 3:00 PM at Parkhill Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Marty Wynn. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations for Funeral Expenses.
