Richard G. Ford

Mr. Ford was born on September 17, 1934 to Charlie Richard Ford and Albena E. Ford in Opelika, Alabama. He was a long time member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Cataula, Georgia. He served as a Sunday school teacher, a deacon, and in many other capacities. He was a 32nd Degree Mason. He retired after 30 years with Acousti. Mr. Ford was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife of 40 years, Hazel J. Ford.

Mr. Ford is survived by his three sisters, Jeanette Pearce (James) of Cataula, Georgia, Jeanelle Richardson (Mack) of Gainesville, Florida, and Kay Thomas of Panama City Beach, Florida. He is also survived by one stepson, Gary (Kathy) Rice of LaGrange, Georgia and one stepdaughter, Gloria Jean Jones of Salem, Alabama.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM in Parkhill Cemetery, Columbus, Georgia. Family will visit with friends before the service from 9:30 am until 10:30 am at Striffler-Hamby, 4071 Macon Rd. Columbus, Georgia.
