Richard was born February 12, 1963 in Columbus, Georgia to Ruby May Sanders McPeters and Richard Larry McPeters, Sr. He was a life-long resident of Columbus and Phenix City. Richard was a textile worker for Swift Textile until his disability. He was a gentle giant and a good man. He enjoyed watching movies, NASCAR, music Trivia and an avid War Eagle fan. Richard loved his family and the grandchildren had him wrapped around their fingers. He showed them how to be respectful and how to take care of a family. Richard also loved his work family. He formed a Webbsite to keep in touch with fellow Swift employees. Richard will forever be remembered for his love of his entire family.
His father Richard Larry McPeters, Sr. and his mother Ruby May Sanders McPeters preceded Richard in death. He is survived by; his wife, Barbara Ann Fisher McPeters; sister, Becky Robinson; sons, Josh McPeters (Amy), Cody McPeters (Haley); daughter, Emma Marie McPeters; stepdaughters, Danielle "Dan-Dan" Marshall (Deborah Craft), and Savannah Leigh "Snowflake" Burley (Greg); grandchildren, Jackson "Jack Jack", Dylan "Dill Pickel", Cowen "Co-Co McPeters, Lillian "Lilly Bug" Grace , and James "June Bug" Richard Marshall, Jr., Shane "Bee-Bo" , Zoey "Bo'sZoey" , James "Jam Bo" and Ayla "Princess La-La" Burley.
