Robert was born on October 13, 1943, in Roanoke, Alabama. He graduated high school at Jordan Vocational High School in 1962.
A proud American, Robert served in the Army and fought in the Vietnam War. He was a printer repairman for three states in the span of 40 years.
He is preceded in death by Lucy Willene Wier Schrimpshire, Thomas Edwin Wier, and Ronald Wier.
Survivors include the mother of his children, Patricia Ann Kent Wier, sons, Chris and Jamie Wier, and a granddaughter, Jordan Wier.
Survivors also include his wife, Susan Copeland.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held 1:30 PM EST Friday, January 17, 2025 at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, 553 AL-165, Fort Mitchell, AL 36856 with Reverend Donnie McCoy officiating. Following the graveside services the family will be gathering at Lake Oliver Marina for a time of reminiscing.
