Family will visit with friends Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM in the St. Elmo Room of Striffler-Hamby, Columbus. A graveside funeral service will follow in Parkhill Cemetery at 11:00 AM with Reverend Dr. Kevin Calhoun officiating. Ronnie Dempsey was the owner of Dempsey’s Furniture Repair. He not only took great pride in his business, but truly relished the friends he made over the years. Ronnie's expertise of refinishing and restoring furniture built his reputation as a master craftsman for over 50 years. R.D. shared his talent of woodworking with his sons-in-law as well, passing along his knowledge. If he was not in his shop working he could be found spending time fishing, cooking what he caught or enjoying a good day at the dragstrip. He was most at ease spending time with his family, playing board games, or just joking around having a good laugh. Ronnie aka (R.D.) will be greatly missed by all who knew and especially loved him.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Leila Monique Dempsey.
He leaves his wife of 54 years, Diane C. Dempsey; his loving daughters: Michele D. Adcock and her husband Sherman and Marquette D. Brewer and her husband, Jason; his loving granddaughter, Madison Brewer.
