

SFC (Ret) Ronald P. Hintay, age 53, of Hamilton, Georgia passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023. Ronald was born in Cavite City, Calabarzon, Philippines. Born November 13, 1969. Joined U.S. Army in December 1993 as a field Medic and served in the Front Line in 6 overseas deployments and 3 peacekeeping missions over his 22 years of service to his country. Ron earned his Airborne wings in 2002, an associate degree in health science, and an automotive certification. Ron loved being a medic and helping his fellow soldiers in any way he could. Ron meet his wife in Fort Knox, Ky in April of 1996, he courted her and was such a wonderful funny, quite gentleman. Ron asked for Nicole's hand in marriage with blessings from Nicole's father and Mother. A beautiful intimate ceremony with close friends and family in attendance. Ron and Nicole went on to have 7 amazing and special children, which he adored and spent as much time as Army life could a lot him. Ron and Nicole coached for many years their children in various sports. Ron and Nicole volunteered and gave back to their military family in any way they could over their 27 yrs. of marriage together as a team in life. Ron had a special bond with his late father-in-law, and they shared many stories of military experiences and life and had great times together with the family. Ron was planning to renew their vows in May of this year in honor of their anniversary and to celebrate the journey of life he and Nicole had been on together. Ron has a contagious smile and laughter to anyone who meets or knows him, the love of his kids and wife could never be challenged or matched he was their world and he was theirs to anyone who knew them or meet them, You never forgot SFC Hintay. That the special quality he possessed and instilled in his kid's. Ron loved fishing, collecting and talking about guns and weaponry, his knowledge and skill was unsurpassed. Ron loved his yard and it was his peace when doing it with his children and wife. Over the many years, Ron loved to draw for others and gifted these drawings as a sentiment of his caring nature. Ron was in heaven around his many coworkers and enjoyed every minute with them. Ron believed in a full life and was also planning the next chapter with his wife as their children grew up and moved on to their own lives. Ron is forever in our hearts and in our very existence. To know Ron was to love him to cherish him. Ron 7 children will always honor and share their many adventures and stories with their dad.
A rosary for Ron will be held Monday, May 15, 2023 at 5:00 PM. A visitation for the family and friends will follow Monday, May 15, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Infantry Chapel on Fort Moore. Ron will be laid to rest in Andersonville National Cemetery, 496 Cemetery Road, Andersonville, GA at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 17, 2023.
