Ruby S. Myers

She was born in Osceola, Arkansas on August 12, 1926 to the late Bulah Mae Stokes and John C. Stokes. Ruby was married to the late Richard Myers in August of 1946, and they were married for 68 years. She was a homemaker. She loved her family and taught them the value of the word of God and God’s love. Ruby’s life shined in her Christian values and her family.

Ruby is survived by Ricky Thetford and his wife Darlene, Brenda Snider, Rosemary Wilson, Jackie Sherrill and her husband Larry, Homer Myers; grandchildren: Valorie Maldonado, David Curry, Cecile Knightstep; 25 great grandchildren; 16 great great grandchildren and her sister, Ann Robinson. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Myers, her sons Michael Myers and Johnny Myers; her daughter, Teresa Martin and her parents.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia. A graveside service will be held in Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 25, 2020.
