

Rudy F. Montesclaros was born January 17, 1937, in the Philippines, son of Dr. Vicente Montesclaros and Salvacion Montesclaros. Rudy practiced law in the Philippines as an Attorney before moving to the U.S. in 1972. He later graduated from Columbus State University with a degree in Criminal Justice. He worked for Aflac for many years and retired as a Claims Adjuster. Rudy enjoyed golfing, fishing, and bowling and had many close friends who often raised glasses in a toast saying “Para nosotros!” reflecting the unity and friendship they shared.
Rudy was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 50 years, Dr. Jean Jorda-Montesclaros; four of his brothers, Vincente Montesclaros, Jr., Manuel Montesclaros, Melchor Montesclaros, and Ramon Montesclaros. Survivors include his brother, Agustin Montesclaros, and sister, Maria Luz Sanoria; his children, Giovanni J. Montesclaros and his wife Cassandra, and DayDay M. Howe and her husband Robert; his grandsons Giovanni Alexander Montesclaros, Michael Evan Montesclaros, and step grandson Cody Monte Collyer; his great grandchildren Leonardo Rodolfo Montesclaros and Jorda Giovanni Montesclaros; and many other family members in the Philippines and other parts of the globe.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at St. Anne Catholic Church, Columbus, Georgia. Inurnment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. A vigil service will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 5:30 PM at St. Anne Church. The family will receive friends following the vigil until 8:00 PM.
