Shawn was born and raised in Lawrenceville, GA. He attended Grayson High School and went on to LSU (Louisiana State University). He was in the marching band, playing the tuba at both schools. His love for LSU was undeniable - we say he bled purple and gold!
Shawn worked at Beaver Paper and Graphic Media as a Shipping Coordinator.
Shawn loved LSU (especially football and baseball), the Atlanta Braves, Georgia Tech, and the Atlanta Falcons. He enjoyed watching movies, binge-watching TV shows, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family, always making them laugh. He also loved playing video and computer games with his friends online.
Shawn worked hard and lived his life making people laugh. He was really a homebody, but could have everyone fooled thinking he was a social butterfly. His cat Lily, Dad jokes, mindless comedy, and joking around with his family and friends often made him laugh.
He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Noman Hudgins, paternal grandparents, Floyd and Margie Hudgins, and maternal grandmother, Sylvia Simmons Rioux.
He is survived by his significant other, Madison Lawson; his mother, Kimberly Flavin (Patrick); grandparents, Mike and Patti Rioux; sisters, Lauren Stephens (John) and Abbie Flavin; brothers, Josh Kelley and Jentezen Flavin; and nephew, Lee Stephens.
Shawn lived by two quotes. He always said he was "living the dream." We always want to remember that and live our own dreams too. Shawn also had a tattoo in honor of his father that read "gamble for the right reason", which he lived by as well.
