Columbus, GA- Shirley R Kile of Columbus, GA passed away at her home on April 13, 2014. She was born in Big Falls, Minnesota on September 14, 1930. Shirley was married to her husband Henry A. Kile Sr. on December 14, 1951. Shirley is a veteran of the US Army, where she worked as a teletype operator. Shirley was a loving homemaker, and enjoyed taking care of her family. She was a member of St Matthews Lutheran Church and had a passion for reading. Shirley was also a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts. Shirley is survived by her loving husband Henry A. Kile Sr., her children Henry A. Kile Jr. (Belinda), George O. Kile, Vernon L.B. Kile, Cecilia R. Alexander (Fred), Christine K. Bell (Todd), and Carla L Kile, five grandchildren, John Thomas Magnum Kile, Julia Marie Kile, Nathaniel Cody Alexander, Megan Christine Garcia, and Jerimia Chance Alexander, and her siblings Donna Babineau, Vernon Fristad, Grace Harlow, Iris Hannemann, Karen Streed and Ervin Fristad.. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Adolph and Veranna Fristad, her son, Robert P. Kile, and her brother Adolph Fristad. The family would like to invite friends to a visitation at Striffler Hamby, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, GA on Friday, April 18, 2014, 5:00 PM- 7:00PM. A Graveside service will be held at Evergreen Memory Gardens, 4500 St Marys Rd, Columbus, Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 11:00 AM.
