Steven Wayne Kirkland

Steven Wayne Kirkland, born in November 1956 in Buena Vista, Georgia, passed away on July 25, 2025. Steven was Known for his big heart, strong work ethic, and deep love for his Georgia Bulldogs, Steven was a proud father, grandfather, and friend.

Steven is survived by his four children: Michael (40) and his wife Megan, parents to Jake, Jesse, Isabel, Stella, and Walker; Stephanie (37) and her husband Derek, parents to Dawson and Sawyer; Audrey (33) and her husband William, parents to Kynadey; and his youngest daughter Madison (20). His children and grandchildren were the pride of his life, and he poured love and strength into each of them.

Steven found joy behind the wheel, especially driving his dump truck for Joe Ryan Trucking Company, a job he not only took pride in but one that connected him to the people and land he loved. Whether cheering on his Dawgs during football season or working hard on the road, Steven’s spirit was full of grit and heart.

He will be remembered for his loyalty, humor, and the quiet ways he showed up for the ones he loved.

A celebration of Steven's life to take place August 2nd, from 2:00pm - 4:00pm at 7712 Hilldale Drive Columbus GA 31909. He would love to see everyone in casual or GA Bulldawg colors!
