Steven L. Martin,48, of Lake Worth, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024 at Bethesda Memorial Hospital in Boynton Beach, Florida.. He was a loving husband to Amanda Capps Martin and a loving father to his two children, Eli and Matthew. In addition, he was a loving son, brother, and friend.
A service to celebrate Steven will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at 2:00 PM in Edgewood Hall of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, 4071 Macon Road, Columbus, Georgia 31907. Family will visit with friends from 1:00 PM until time of the service. Steven will be laid to rest in Parkhill Cemetery.
Steven was born in Montreal, Canada on August 19, 1976 to Roselyn Debbie Martin and Joseph A. Martin. He would later move to Columbus, Georgia where he graduated from Shaw High School and obtained a BS in Political Science from Columbus State University. Steven worked as a risk analyst in the fraud department at Total Systems Solutions (now Global Payments) in Columbus, and then Touche Suite in Boca Raton, Florida. Steven and Amanda were married for 19 years in October. Steven’s sons, Eli and Matthew, were his universe. Steven loved spending time watching and playing soccer and other activities with his boys. Steven was Christian by faith, and loved His Lord and Savior. He and his family attended Boynton Beach Community Church.
Steven leaves his loving memory to be cherished by his loving wife, Amanda Capps Martin; his children: Eli James Martin and Matthew Paul Martin; his parents:Joe Martin and Roselyn Martin; his brothers: Michael Martin and Jordan Martin; his father-in-law, Bill Capps and mother-in-law, Martha Capps; and many other family members and friends.
