I’ll always remember when Grammy Su visited Atlanta! And hearing about the epic summer visits to California. Thinking of the family in this difficult time.

Suzanne was such a very special woman and I have such fond memories going back over 40 years which will stay with me for the rest of my life. She was a bundle of energy which she obviously passed down to most of her children.
I have wonderful memories of Suzanne and Harlan coming up to the Hollywood Bowl for Concerts and having them there as my guest and visiting with them was a true joy and made me so happy.
Suzanne had a contagious laugh that put a smile on everyone’s face and she would light up the room when she would walk in.
I will always miss those powerful strong hugs that she used to give , and I feel blessed to have known her.

Our thoughts are with all of you as we reflect on how Grammy Su  loved each of her children and grandchildren in profound and uniquely,  different ways, with each of you being of  enormous importance to her!!  The highlight of my childhood summers, was driving from Sacramento to go out to dinner with Su, Harlan and their kids – every gathering was an eventful outing, full of wild, crazy antics with great memories that we all laugh about today. Harlan and Su were our fun loving cousins with whom we shared a deep bound to the Atlanta Family and us kids  LOVED seeing how much our parents LOVED being together!! Su shaped my life from the young age of 15 when I was a wild teenager "sent away" to be Su’s “helper” for an entire summer. I had clear marching orders from my parents to help Su organize the  house  since Terri and I were well schooled in household chores.  Wow was I in for a surprise as I had NEVER been in their house before age 15......I loved having no rules, no laundry to fold, no silver to polish, nothing to iron, staying up as late as I'd like,  learning how to drive in Harlan’s Driving School so I could drive Steve to his  movie set  for Room 222 and the Brady Bunch (which was both glamorous and boring), and entertaining the younger kids with games and hide and seek all night long.  Being "sent away" as a teenager WAS BEST SUMMER EVER because Su made it tons of fun!!!    I will forever hold her close in my heart with many wonderful memories.    Su and Harlan becoming our pseudo parents/grandparents when we returned to Calif  in 1986.   We were so fortunate to have Su and Harlan as  our "go-to" babysitter, letting Rachel  watch late night reruns of I Love Lucy and eating as much red licorice and candy as she'd like!!    We will forever miss our cousin Su.  With MUCH love to all you Liss kids -- Sandi and Richard

Your mom was such a special woman and I have many great memories with her and Uncle Harland at their house when I was young.  As I got older I always looked forward to seeing Suzie at holidays, parties and special events.  She always had a laughter that was contagious and a love you could feel from across the room.  She will be missed.
