Tony was born September 1, 1955 in Columbus, Georgia to the late Rachel Smith and Richard Lee Roy Smith. He grew up in Columbus and joined the Army soon after graduating High School. Once he completed his military service, Tony became a truck driver until becoming disabled. Tony became very withdrawn, eccentric and reclusive. He loved guns, Budweiser Beer and designing furniture out of his discarded cans. Though he pushed everyone away; his family still loved him and feel his loss.
Tony is survived by son Richard Smith; daughters Cynthia Smith; Sarah Smith; sisters Carolyn Wiesbrock, Rose Darling, Cathy Barth, Debi Page and brother James Smith; nieces; nephews and other family members.
