Valerie Jeanne Smith

Valerie was an adored wife, loving mother, homemaker, and cat mom. She achieved a degree in Psychology from Columbus College. She and her husband Thomas were married on July 31, 1993.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard A. and Janice D’Orlando and her brother Steven D’Orlando.

She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Thomas Smith; son Ryan Thralls; stepson Nathan Smith (Faith); stepdaughter Amie Torok (Tim); brother Leonard D’Orlando (Laura); sister Sharyn Pellegrini (Bill); nephews and nieces: Billy Pellegrini (Nobuko), Jill Pellegrini, Brandon D’Orlando, Lenny D’Orlando, Alex D’Orlando, Natalie D’Orlando, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and her beloved pets: Ninji, Baxter, and Friendly.

Friends and family are invited to attend funeral mass at St. Anne Catholic Church on Friday, December 3rd at 11:30 a.m. and will be followed by a graveside service at Parkhill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Paws Humane Society or Animal Ark Rescue
