Vera Godfrey Stephens, age 88, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. Vera was born in Columbus; the daughter of Frank Godfrey and Edna Godfrey. Vera married the love of her life, William Joseph Stephens.
Vera was a flight attendant for American Airlines. She enjoyed the outdoors and playing games on her computer. She loved her family and loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother.
Vera is preceded in death by: her husband, Joe Stephens; and her daughter, Vickie Alandt.
Survivors include: her grandson, Thomas Joseph "Joey" Richards; and her son-in-law, Mark Alandt.
