Violet June Watson a loving wife, mother, and grandmother passed away on April 20, 2021. She was born on June 16, 1941 in Phenix City, Alabama to the late Lillian Hall Fuller and Auldin Fuller. As a small child she and her family move to Columbus, Georgia and Columbus has been her home ever since.
June married the love of her life Roy Watson on November 10, 1959. Together they raised their children in Columbus. June along with her husband were the Co-Owner of Linwood Lunch Restaurant for several years. Even after the closing of the restaurant June was often asked when she was going to reopen. June was a great cook.
June was Christian by faith and she and Roy attended Second Baptist Church of Columbus. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. June and her Mom enjoyed going shopping, where ever they went June was sure to find an Angel that had to come home with her for her collection.
June is survived by her husband, Roy Watson; son: Roy Nathan Watson and his wife, Heather; daughter: Teresa Ann Kennedy and her husband, Evien; son: Roger David Watson and his wife, Pam; son: James Christopher Watson and his wife, Kay Hudson; nine grandkids; seventeen great grandkids and numerous other family members. June was preceded in death by her parents, Lillian and Auldin Fuller; and her son, Jerome Dale Watson.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 at 11:00 AM in Parkhill Cemetery, Columbus, Georgia with Reverend Mike Reeves officiating.
