Wade Hutson Hall Jr. , age 71, of Box Springs, GA. passed away on Sunday October 3, 2021 at
the Piedmont Hospital.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 9, 2021 in Parkhill Cemetery with Dr. Tim
Jones officiating according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus, GA. Visitation for family and
friends will be Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Wade was born on March 21, 1950 to the late Wade Hutson Hall Sr. and Ollie Dixon Hall, in
Dublin, Georgia. After high school, Wade enlisted in the United States Army where he served 30
years. Wade married the love of his life Doreen, on February 11, 1973 and they spent 46
memorable years together before her passing in 2019. Wade loved fishing, hunting, watching
old western TV shows, scratching lottery tickets, attending church and most of all, spending
time with his family. He had a heart of gold and loved dressing up as Santa Claus on Christmas
and visiting the children at Martin Army Hospital, bringing them presents, toys, and holiday
spirit.
Wade is survived by his two sons, Johnathan W. Hall (Erica) of Atlanta, GA. and Christopher D.
Hall (Charlotte) of Baxley, GA; sisters Arlane Watson and Betty Jay Warnick; brothers Walter Hall
(Patricia) and Ollie Labrano Hall; brother in law, Jim D. Shields (Tracy) of Columbus, GA;
grandchildren, Teresa Hall, Sean Hall, Sabrina Bryant, Lilly Hall, Ethan Hall, Alisha Hall, Travis Hall
and Courtney Hall; great grandchildren, Janette "Punky" Cariel and Gabriale Ragan and
numerous other great grandchildren and extended family. Wade wanted everyone to know…
