

Wallace graduated from Max S. Hayes Vocational High School, Cleveland, OH in 1973, soon after he enlisted in the United States Army in 1973. While serving he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. Wallace was honorably discharged in 1976. Before moving back to Hurtsboro, AL in 1998 Wallace worked various jobs before finally starting his career in 2000 at the Department of Veterans Affairs Healthcare Clinic.
He departed this life on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at his home, surrounded by his love ones.
He was preceded in death by his father Mack Tinsley, mother Leola Tinsley, two sisters Beulah Tinsley, and Ora Rowell, and a brother Joseph Upshaw. He leaves to cherish his memory five loving children, Octavia Boykin of Cleveland, OH, Tamara Boykin-Jones (Jamal) of Columbus, GA, Wallace Edwards (Porcha) of Chesapeake, VA, Lasonya Williams of Cleveland, OH, Qiana Tinsley of Columbus, GA. Seven grandchildren Michael, Tatiana, Hershawna, Dequarius, Dylan, Jamel, Jaidyn. Nine brothers and two sisters Johnny Tinsley (Shirley) of Hurtsboro, AL,Michael Tinsley (Robin) of Spartanburg, SC, Wayne Tinsley (LaShan) of Seale, AL Lester Tinsley (Stacey) of Cleveland, OH, Kenneth Tinsley of Seale, AL, Eddie Upshaw of Hurtsboro, AL, Morris Upshaw of Hurtsboro, AL, Tony Grant (Sally) of Hurtsboro, AL, Raymond Cox of Panama City, FL, Alice Tinsley of Cleveland, OH, Algertha Cox of Panama City, FL, and special friend Minnie Adams, host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
