William T. "Bill" Bloomfield

William Truitt Bloomfield was born March 9, 1948 in Long Island City, New York to the late Leslie W. and Mary Irvin Bloomfield.

Bill was a 1966 graduate of Columbus High School and attended Columbus College. He was a United States Air Force Veteran. Bill was a past member of Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church, New York and First Presbyterian Church, Columbus, Georgia.

Bill retired from Chrysler Automotive Service after over 40 years of service. He enjoyed restoring cars of his own and helping others restore theirs. He loved all things MOPAR, UGA football and watching PGA Golf tournaments.

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Lydia; his children: Michael Bloomfield (Andrea), Jennifer Bloomfield-Smith (Dustin), Leigh Drawdy (Lacy), Barry Hancock (Eden); his grandchildren: Ashley Boswell, Wade Drawdy (Lesley), Lindsey Drawdy, Christopher Smith, Michael Bloomfield, Marissa Bloomfield, Jackson Hancock, Joanna Lydia Hancock, Ellie Winter Hancock; five great grandchildren; cousin George Woodall.

Visitation will be held on Thursday April 28, 2022 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the Mill Room at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary 4071 Macon Road Columbus, Georgia 31907.
