Mr. Pyron was born December 23, 1937 in Coffee County, Alabama son of the late Allen Webster Pyron and Exa Mae Williamson. He had retired from Swift Spinning Mill after 47 years of service.
He had a gift for working with his hands and was known throughout the neighborhood for tinkering on car engines and helping anyone who needed something fixed. In his younger days, he enjoyed bowling in a league and carried that same steady focus into everything he did. He was truly a “Mr. Fix-It,” always finding a way to repair, restore, or improve whatever was in front of him.
He loved spending time with his family, watching wrestling matches, and sitting on the front porch with his pipe, peacefully watching the birds. He was known for making his famous sweet tea, always ready to pour a glass for anyone who stopped by. His simple joys, steady presence, and servant’s heart left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.
Mr. Pyron is preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Exa Pyron; two brothers, Wallace Pyron and Doug Pyron.
Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years, Marie Turner Pyron Phenix City, Alabama; two sons, Timothy Pyron (Sonya), Foley, Alabama, Jeffrey Pyron, Foley, Alabama and one daughter Jennifer Woody (Charles), Smiths Station, Alabama; five grandchildren, Eric Pyron, Will Pyron (Danielle), Mackenzie Bankston (Ben), Peyton Woody and Brewer Woody; two great grandchildren, Layla Pyron and Malachi Pyron; two sisters, Faye Meloy and Joe Ray; numerous nieces and nephews.
