

Betty Joan Lambert, 87, of Columbus, IN, passed away on February 12, 2025, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana. Betty was born March 2, 1937 in Rensselaer, Indiana, the daughter of Carl Culp and Jean Brugh Culp.
Betty graduated from Remington High School in 1955, then attended Patricia Stevens Business College in Chicago.
Betty married Marvin Lambert on November 3, 1957 at First Christian Church in Remington, IN, with Omer Collins officiating. Betty and Marvin grew up a block apart, attended the same church as children, and graduated together from Remington High School. Marvin and Betty were married for 67 years.
Betty worked many years as a Buyer at Cosco. Through the years, she also worked at Logansport Hospital, Carpenter’s Drug Store, and Vernco/Ventra.
One of Betty’s greatest loves was music; she played French horn in the band and sang in choir in high school. Her senior year of high school, she took professional singing lessons in Lafayette, IN. She also loved camping, fishing, boating, and nature. Betty will be remembered for her generosity.
Betty was a member of many organizations, including First Christian Church, the Moose Lodge, Happy Homemakers Home-Ec Club, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Columbus Arts Guild. Betty and Marvin spent their winters in the lower valley of Texas for many years.
Remaining to cherish Betty’s memory are husband, Marvin Lambert; son, Brett (Debbie) Lambert of Port Charlotte, FL; daughter, Lisa (Richard) Davis, of Columbus, IN; grandchildren, David (Erica) Lambert, Stacy (Craig) Roth, Jenny Frasier, and John (Carley) Weddle, all of Columbus, IN; great-grandchildren, Degean, Jocelynn, and Dillon Lambert; Lily, Addy, and Evee Frasier; and Walker Weddle, many extended family members, and Daisy (the dog), too. She was also survived by step-granddaughters, Tyra (Ronnie) Newsome of Brown County, Kimber Knapp of Columbus, and Tiffany (Zach) McIntosh.
Preceding Betty in death are parents, Carl and Jean Culp and brother, Norman Culp.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, March 30th from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Eagles Lodge in Columbus; lunch will be provided. A private family burial will be held at a later date in Remington, IN.
