Beverley Sue Watson, 78, went to heaven on December 6, 2018. She was born November 2, 1940 in Columbus to Bill and Averill McClure. She was a graduate of Columbus High School.
She worked at Columbus Medical Corporation for many years and retired from Pankratz Eye Institute.
She enjoyed gardening and won an award for having the most beautiful flowers. She took great pride in her yard and outdoor decorations. She loved to go to the beach throughout her life. She taught her grandchildren to love the water and frequently took them swimming. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They loved staying all night with Mamaw Bev because she was always on the go taking them shopping.
Beverley is survived by her three children, Brent (Desiree) Watson, Brian Watson and Beth (Jeff) Whittington; a sister, Cindi McClure; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren; and a companion, Don Horne.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Averill McClure.
A Funeral Service for Beverley will be held Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Myers-Reed Chapel with Pastor Mark Ownings officiating. Burial will follow at Garland Brook Cemetery. A Visitation will be held Monday, December 10, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, with additional visitation one hour prior to service time on Tuesday.
