DeWayne was born July 17, 1936 in Manchester, Tennessee to parents Joseph and Lena Rogalle. He married Betty Sue Bohall in August of 1957, she survives.
DeWayne served in the United States Army as a military policeman. After his Honorable Discharge, he began his career at Cummins Engine Company and worked there for 30 years before retiring.
He loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting, farming, and gardening.
DeWayne is survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty Sue Rogalle; his daughter, Suzanne (Gary) Phillips; and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings; and his son, Richard Rogalle.
A funeral service for DeWayne will be held Wednesday, December 29 at 1 p.m. at Myers-Reed Chapel with Pastor Al White officiating. Burial will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery. Friends may gather for visitation two hours prior to the service, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in DeWayne’s honor to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
