

Mrs. Harrell was born Mary Jean Hickey in Nineveh Township, Johnson County, IN. on April 18, 1921 the daughter of the late Albert Patrick and Zora Luelle Stuckey Hickey.
She married Raymond C. “Pete” Harrell in Bartholomew County, IN. on January 10, 1942 and he preceded her in death on July 30, 1999.
Mrs. Harrell retired from Irwin Union Bank in Columbus, IN. in 1983 where she worked in the investment division.
Mrs. Harrell was a member of First Christian Church in Columbus, IN. and she enjoyed and participated in several small group Bible studies over the years. She was a charter member of the ONO Home Ec Club and she was an avid Bridge player.
The funeral service celebrating the life of Mrs. Harrell will be conducted at 3:00 pm Thursday, May 03, 2012 at Myers-Reed Chapel at 3729-25th St., Columbus, IN. 47203 with Dan Wallace and Justin White officiating.
Calling hours will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 pm. and from 2:00 pm until the time of the service on Thursday.
Entombment will be in Garland Brook Mausoleum in Columbus, IN.
Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Hospice of South Central Indiana or First Christian Church.

Mrs. Harrell is survived by three daughters, Kathy L. (Bob) Hynds and Paula C. (Jim) Sachleben both of Columbus, IN. and LuAnn (Denny) Craft of Wabash, IN.; two sons, Tim W. (Deb) Harrell and Pat C. Harrell both of Greenwood, IN.; a sister, Wilma Lou Huffman of Columbus, IN.; eleven grandchildren, Mike (J.J.) DeArmitt of Shelby County, IN., Josh (Casey) DeArmitt of Franklin, IN., Chris Harrell of Greenwood, IN., Kelin Valadez and Marika (Pablo) Rendon both of Southport, IN., J.R. (Ashley) and Patrick Sachleben both of Columbus, IN., Alan (Angela) Craft of Wabash, IN., Lisa (Stacia Hool) Craft of Muncie, IN., Kippe (Christy) Detty of Fishers, IN. and Aimee Coomer of Cary, IL.; and twelve great grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband of fifty-seven years, Mrs. Harrell was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Evans and a daughter-in-law, Teresa Harrell.
