Kenneth W. Tull passed away at Columbus Regional Hospital on September 12 at 12:30 am after a brief illnes unrelated to Covid 19 surrounded by wife and friends. He was born on December 16, 1934 in Columbus to Kathryn and E. Don Tull. Kenny married Donna G. Sprouls on August 18, 1962. They were blessed with two children – Brian W. Tull and Margaret (Tull) King. Kenny attended Wagner School (on S. S. 58) and then graduated from Columbus High School in 1952. Went on to graduate from Franklin College in 1958, where he was a member of SAE fraternity. Also earned Masters Degree in education from Indiana University. He first taught at Jackson Township School/Waymansville, then at Trafalger, Taylorsville and Central Middle School. After retiring from teaching he was employed at what was then Cummins Engine Co – retiring in1988. Enjoyed part-time employment for Hawes Office Equipment and Kroger – delivering prescriptions for the pharmacy. He loved playing golf – having started at the Old City Course , Harrison Lake Country Club and then Otter Creek Golf Course - and a number of courses in Arizona. Other hobbies included volunteering at Otter Creek (2006-2019) reading, crossword puzzles, traveling, He was a former member of Optimist and Kiwanis Clubs. Also an exercise enthusiast and enjoyed lawn care from childhood to present. Kenny is a life time member of First Baptist Church and the Adult Study Fellowship class (Talents Class). He dearly loved his grandchildren – Kyle Tonnies (Kansas City)and Ava Tonnies (Mesa, AZ). He is survived by his wife, Donna, brother Frank Tull (Fountain HillsAZ}, daughter Margy King (Mesa, AZ), grand children, daughter in law Kristen Tull Lorenz (CA), nephews: Mike Herron (Greenwood), Matt Herron (Columbus), and great nephews and niece. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents and son, Brian. Memorials may be given to the First Baptist Church Foundation (3300 Fairlawn Dr.) or donor's choice charity. Due to the pandemic – there will be private service 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church for the family with Rev Dan Cash officiating.
