I just learned of the passing of Kris, and memories from the past came flooding in. Some of my favorite memories of Kris include:

Kris loved animals.
I recall spending many hours stuffing small pieces of paper in macaroni for the "Pick a Noodle" booth at the 4-H Fair. This was a fundraiser for the Humane Society.

Kris took home an abandoned yellow kitten from the area around Central Middle School. If my memory serves me right, that "little" kitten became a big cat the was well loved and lived a long life.

Thanks to Kris , I learned to swim. She taught me the left-handed side stroke. (Kris was left -handed.)

Her birthday slumber parties were always fun. I would go home with laryngitis!

We would bake cakes, and cookies...then eat them, of course!

Thanks for the great times, Kris. Your life touched many in a positive way. May you rest in peace.

I met Kris when I joined Rainbow for Girls. So many fun times! Kris and I would go to Zaharakos after Rainbow practices on Saturday and had grill cheese sandwich and a coke made from syrup the old fashioned way! All the fun times too at Rainbow state conventions!😁
My parents didn't attend church. Kris and I met at the front of the First Christian church and we'd walk down the isle and sat with her family. If it wasn't for that, I'd not have the solid Christian beliefs during childhood.

Her birthday was the first, mine is the 2nd. We would share birthday parties. Her house for ice skating and our house for sleepovers. So much fun!

Oh yes I almost forgot, when I slept over at her house, we'd walk to the corner grocery store and sit outside sharing a chocolate cream pie! So many fun times. That had to be a 10 mile round trip up down and around the country roads.

Rest in peace Kris. Thanks for all the fun times and forming who I am today.

I was just remembering when my daughter Maggie had delivered her first Baby, Ebony.
Ebony was born early she was a Preemie and My daughter Maggie had complications in the Delivery, it was very Frightening. Her daughter Ebony was born and had to be rushed up to Indianapolis to Riley Hospital .Maggie's Young Heart was Torn and Heavy. As would be any young Mothers, to have their Precious Baby taken away to another Hospital far away....as was mine as well.
I will never forget how I Prayed for Our Faithful Heavenly Father to send an angel to be with Ebony up in the Riley Hospital until Maggie and all of us could be with her....then Kris talked to Maggie, and she went right away to the Hospital to be with Ebony.
Magggie and I, and all of us were Oh So Grateful that Night for the answered Prayers.....for the angel we Prayed for......for Kris. I knew in my Heart.....Kris was Praying for Ebony......she was there with her, and she was not alone.
This was one of the many Acts of Kindness my cousin Kris left , like Beautiful Roses that grew up through the Rocks in those Rough places , in the Paths on our Journey's here ..........that will Never be Forgotten.
This was my cousin.........
this was Kris !

Went to Kent School with Kris. She was the nicest and kindest friend anyone could ever have. She was always fun to be around and I remember that she loved to swim.
