She was born in Glasgow, Kentucky September 10, 1947, the daughter of Ray and Laura Smith Jackson.
She was retired from The Columbus Bar where she worked as a cook for 35 years; making, among other things, the famous tenderloin sandwiches. She enjoyed going to the casino's.
Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl L. Starks of Hope; sister, Elizabeth Wooten of Glasgow, Kentucky
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, David Lee Starks, Jr.; daughter Donnie Dodson-Norris; 2 brothers; I sister.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Hathaway~Myers Chapel on Pearl Street with Rev. Marie Turner officiating. Visitation will be from Noon to service time Friday. Cremation will follow the service. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.hathaway-myers.com.
