Phillip E. Fields, 56, Willow Way, Country Squire Lakes, North Vernon, Indiana died at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility of Columbus, Indiana.
Mr. Fields formerly worked as a guard for Burns Security and more recently was a self-employed handyman. He enjoyed NASCAR, fishing, wrestling and being with family.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon Saturday April 16, 2011 at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street, with calling from 10 a.m. until service time. Private burial will be at a later date at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Born in Columbus Feb. 14, 1955, Mr. Fields was the son of D.C. “Doc” and Dorothy Gribbons Fields.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Bedwell Fields; a son, Phillip Eugene Fields II, and a daughter, Brandi Joe Isbell, both of North Vernon; sisters, Robin Conrad of Columbus and Sue (David) Fields of Elizabethtown; six grandchildren, Tyler A. Fields of North Vernon, Joseph A. Fields of Columbus, and Carrly, Cailey, Cami and Braden Isbell, all of North Vernon; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ronney Fields in 1981.
