Robert Lee Stater Jr.

Robert (Bobby) Lee Stater Jr., 62, passed away May 14, 2020 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana surrounded by his family. Bobby was born in Columbus, Indina on May 18, 1957 to Betty J Stater and the late Robert Lee Stater Sr. He is survived by his mother, Betty Stater of Hope, Indiana; sisters, Vickie (David) Martinez of Seymour and Robbie (Allen) Bush of Hope; nieces and nephews, Amber (Jesus) Salvador of Seymour, Sarah (Randy) Applegate of Seymour, Cody Dill of Hope, Robert Martinez of Indianapolis, Maria Martinez of Indianapolis; and Chase Emerson of Indianapolis; great-nieces and nephews, Tristen DeJesus, Allanah Applegate, and Bradyn Applegate, all of Seymour. Bobby was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a graduate of Columbus North High School. His passion was spending time with his family and playing Yahtzee in the evenings with his mom. Bobby Loved car shows and old cars, shopping with his niece, Amber at Christmastime, and riding his bicycle through Columbus with his two best friends, Bobby Setser and Danny Blair. He also enjoyed reading and learning the history of Columbus. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends and everyone who knew him and his kind, loving heart. Bobby was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Stater Sr.; great-nephew, Jalin Allen Espinal; grandparents, Arther R. and Winafred Grace Stater; brother-in-law, Allen Howard; and many aunts and uncles. A private Funeral Service for Bobby will be held at Myers-Reed Chapel and he will be laid to rest at Garland Brook Cemetery.
