Ruby Esther Myers Sims-Hubble

Mrs. Hubble was born in Decatur Co., IN. on January 24, 1927, the daughter of the late Jefferson and Della Maredeth Myers.

She married Bernard L. Sims in Columbus, IN. on March 23, 1947 and he preceded her in death on September 04, 1990. She married Carl Hubble in Columbus, IN. on September 28, 1999 and he survives.

Mrs. Hubble retired from Cummins Engine Company where she was a secretary.

She enjoyed music, woodworking and constructing instruments.

The funeral service celebrating the life of Mrs. Hubble will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at the Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th St. with the Rev. Mark Myers officiating.

Calling hours will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Monday, February 21, 2011 and from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Tuesday.

Burial will be in the Garland Brook Cemetery.

Surviving with her husband are a daughter, Christie Sims of Columbus, IN.; three sons, Ray C. (Judy) Sims and Randy (Diane) Sims both of Columbus, IN. and Bernard Scott (Caroline) Sims of Elizabethtown, IN.; a sister, Betty (Aaron) Oglesby of Minden, Louisiana; eleven grandchildren, Kevin, Jeff, Staci, Jared, Gerrison and Maredeth Sims, Jenni Lancer, Stephanie Garcia, Ashley Silva, Hillary Lowther and Benjamin Dobson; eleven great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.

Along with her parents and first husband, Mrs. Hubble was also preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
