

Mr. Tidwell was a crane operator and truck driver for Kroot’s for over 30 years.
He loved to tinker with lawnmowers, race cars and sand buggies and enjoyed fishing and in earlier years, racing cars. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
A Memorial Service will be at 6 p.m. Monday at Hathaway-Myers Chapel on Pearl Street with Pastor Rob Hurt officiating. Calling will be from 5 p.m. until service time.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Mr. Tidwell was born Feb. 10, 1940 in Gary, Oklahoma, the son of Lawrence and Myrtle Sheffield Tidwell. He married Janeth M. Hodapp in 1959 in Arizona.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Marcella (Tim) Edwards and Mary (John) Schoonover, both of Columbus; sons, William ( Marie) Tidwell II and Larry (Rita)Tidwell, both of Columbus and Allen (Carolyn) Tidwell of North Vernon; a brother, Gene Tidwell of Arizona; sisters, Billy Keith of Arizona, Peggy Capps of Arkansas and Marie Wade of Oklahoma; 22 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Daniel Wayne Tidwell and a brother, Larry John Tidwell.
